Tottenham, meanwhile, are preparing for a possible approach from Real Madrid for their manager, Mauricio Pochettino, according to the Mirror. It is thought the Argentinian, who recently signed a new five-year deal to take Spurs back to their revamped White Hart Lane stadium, is well regarded by the Bernabeu hierarchy, having played and coached in Spain before.

Back to Chelsea, and with reports mounting that Thibaut Courtois could leave Stamford Bridge this summer, a new goalkeeper is also seemingly top of the Blues’ transfer wishlist. Brazil international Alisson is said to be the main target, according to the Mirror, but Liverpool are also reported to be in pursuit of a new stopper and may also look to the Roma star come the transfer window.
