Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 300th LaLiga goal as Real Madrid returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over 10-man Getafe at the Bernabeu.
Gareth Bale broke the deadlock after 24 minutes before Ronaldo reached his personal landmark on the stroke of half-time.
Getafe saw forward Loic Remy sent off for a second caution early in the second half, but reduced the deficit after 65 minutes through a controversial penalty from Francisco Portillo, only for Ronaldo to wrap things up with a late header.

Star man – Cristiano Ronaldo
Who else? While Gareth Bale impressed as he laid down a marker for a place in the side against Paris St Germain in next week’s crunch Champions League tie, it was Ronaldo who stole the show with his double to take his tally to 301 LaLiga goals.
Moment of the match
Ronaldo produced a clinical finish to make it 300 goals in LaLiga when he put Real Madrid 2-0 up on the stroke of half-time. Karim Benzema powered forward and played the Portugal forward into the right side of the penalty area, who turned and … well, you know the rest.
While there was some debate as to whether Ronaldo had already reached 300 LaLiga goals after netting a brace against Alaves last weekend – a free-kick against Real Sociedad during the 2010/2011 campaign which went in via a heavy deflection off team-mate Pepe the reason for the uncertainty – the numbers remain impressive reading. Ronaldo took 286 matches to ‘officially’ reach the landmark, which is the quickest on record – even faster than a certain Lionel Messi.
