St Johnstone and Albion Rovers denied by the weather

St Johnstone’s William Hill Scottish Cup fourth-round clash against Albion Rovers in Coatbridge has been postponed.

More than 20 volunteers turned up at Cliftonhill from 8am on Saturday morning to help clear snow but the pitch was too hard underneath and it failed an inspection.

The tie has been rescheduled for Tuesday night, which means St Johnstone’s Ladbrokes Premiership encounter at Kilmarnock will not take place as scheduled on Wednesday.

Rangers’ trip to face Highland League side Fraserburgh on Sunday is subject to a noon pitch inspection at Bellslea Park on Saturday.

Livingston’s home game against Falkirk and Dumbarton’s trip to Peterhead were postponed on Friday as was the scheduled Friday night tie between Highland League sides Formartine and Cove Rangers.

Ladbrokes League Two matches at Stirling, Berwick and Stenhousemuir were also postponed.
