The Scottish Premiership weekend in numbers

Rangers and Celtic both booked their places in the Betfred Cup quarter-finals with 3-1 wins over Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle respectively, with Aberdeen and Hearts also following them into the last eight.

Here are some of the other numbers behind the competition’s second-round action:

Six – Goals Alfredo Morelos has now bagged this season. The Rangers striker doubled his tally for the campaign with his Rugby Park hat-trick – the first of his Ibrox career.

782 – Minutes Leigh Griffiths had gone without scoring for Celtic before netting the opener against Partick Thistle. His last goal for the Hoops had come in a 2-1 win over Hamilton at the Hope Stadium back in April.

15 – Cup wins Motherwell have secured under Stephen Robinson in 13 months, eight of them against top-flight teams. Livingston became the latest team to fall to the cup specialists after Danny Johnson’s goal was enough to see the Steelmen into the quarter-finals.

10 – The number of minutes it took Sofien Moussa to get booked twice during Dundee’s 3-0 defeat by Ayr. The substitute had only been on the pitch five minutes when he received his first yellow card for a foul on Daniel Harvie, and his barge on Mark Kerr sent him packing.

57 – Minutes per goal is Ayr striker Lawrence Shankland’s current conversion rate. The Honest Men frontman extended his tally to the season so far to 11 from just eight appearances as he helped gun down Dundee

36 – Career goals for Tony Watt after netting a double for St Johnstone in their 4-2 win over Queen of the South. The well-travelled former Celtic man is hoping to put down roots in Perthshire and already has four goals with Saints, all of them coming in the Betfred Cup.
